If you are a die-hard fan of one of Indian cricket’s most flamboyant captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni, you will love this movie. But what comes as a surprise package is Sushant Singh Rajput’s impeccable and flawless portrayal of a restrained & stoic Dhoni. Honestly, Sushant grows on you as an actor as the film progresses, and you cannot help but love him towards the end of the movie.
Full marks to Neeraj Pandey, the director of the film for weaving all the events in Dhoni’s life so beautifully & presenting it so well on celluloid. The film, which is pretty long ( over 3 hours ), successfully holds the interest of the audience till the very end. The screenplay of the film is very real & lifelike. In fact the director’s re-creation of Dhoni’s life in Ranchi is quite authentic and relatable. Dhoni’s love life too is weaved into the film almost effortlessly. The music is easy on the ears & meshes perfectly with the plot of the film.
I would highly recommend this movie. What is even better, is that its tax-free!. Don’t miss it!
