My Review:

The title as well as the cover of the book suggests that it is a romantic story, a childhood romance to be specific. The main characters of the plot are Siddhartha and Hazel and the major events happening in and around their lives tend to be a bit cliched and predictable. The love that Hazel and Siddhartha share is undoubtedly naive, innocent and endearing. As the story progresses, a number of social aspects are touched upon with reference to the main protagonists. Father-daughter, mother-daughter relationship and bond is touched upon. A woman’s plight in our society is highlighted. Since the title meant Key to Hazel’s soul I was left wanting to know more about her and when the story reaches the point where these two could have shared a more mature love and understanding, the author wrapped it up. The editing of the book is on point & the narration of the story is simple and free- flowing  The plot is gripping and keeps the readers hooked. It definitely makes for a leisurely read.
