Personally I just love flowy & feminine dresses, Maxi-dress being one of them. Talk of Bohemian style, often referred to as “boho” or “boho chic” is a style of dressing that was popularized during the 1960s and 1970s and the first outfit that comes to my mind is the long flowing maxi-dress!. Wear a printed maxi with chunky jewelry and wedge sandals for a perfect date night look or Try a denim vest with a printed maxi to make it a bit more casual. You could also Add a distressed sweater to turn the dress into a skirt.
Maxi-dress is finally here to stay in fact it is a must have in your wardrobe. I love the fact that it is so versatile, team it with a distressed denim jacket for a daytime look or pair it with high heels for a dinner date. Once reserved for hippies and free-spirits, the maxi-dress is having a major fashion moment this season. A flowing maxi-dress makes an impact off and on the red carpet. What is amazing is that it can be teamed with so many accessories like belts, chunky neck-pieces, scarves etc. I also like the idea of pairing feminine fabrics like chiffon or silk with more heavy duty ones like leather. A leather moto jacket toughens up an otherwise girly ensemble. Or, finding a statement jacket to piece together with a solid color maxi dress is also a fun way to try the look.
I’ve created two looks with maxi-dresses from Shein for you guys..
The first one is a beautiful blue and nude lace maxi-dress which is perfect for an evening out
The second one is a daytime look with a flowing floral maxi-dress which I have teamed with a boho bag. I’ll be leaving my outfit details in the end for those of you who wish to know about them. I would love to know what you guys think of these two looks. Lots of love…S
