Well I am clearly very fond of Maxi-dresses. They’re truly evergreen as this trend has been unstoppable since the 1970’s in various forms.
The maxi dress may have found its way to the fashion capitals of the world (almost every season) in many different variations, but the one we say will be your lifelong companion is the ’70s version. The versatility of this wardrobe must-have is unquestionable—date night, lunch with ladies, even work!—the maxi will be the answer to all your “what do I wear?” queries. You could opt for a maxi with a high slit which always adds a major oomph factor. Plus, it shows off your shoes. Speaking of shoes, don’t go with the obvious gladiators heels, a heeled sandal will look just as fabulous or even the classy stiletto will do. Don’t consider the maxi just for the day, add a rock-chic leather jacket and some gold danglers, and you’ve got yourself a great night-out look. Opt for oxidised silver for a more bohemian vibe. Wear your boyfriend jeans under a high slit if you feel like mixing things up. Amazing right ?!!
I am personally more of a bohemian soul so I go for that look as far as maxi-dresses are concerned. So I’ve teamed up with Ellemora to create an amazing look with one of their Maxi-dresses. I chose this printed black & white number without sleeves. It has a collar plus buttons down to my belly button. I love the numerous pleats it has in the lower half, gives it such a old world charm & retro vibe which is so in these days. I chose to wear danglers and a wrist watch since the dress already has a collar and wearing something in the neck would be over-doing it which I don’t prefer. For footwear I chose classic beige pumps and a clutch to go with it. Have a look..
